A premium exercise service for active dogs!

When it comes to dogs, our mission is simple: we want to help them live healthy, balanced lives through fitness, fun and exercise. That's why we created a structured exercise program that gets dogs off the couch and into the great outdoors where they can exercise and explore as nature intended!
The Club
At Pup 'N Pals, we firmly believe the right amount of structured exercise can have a profound impact on a dog's health and well-being. Did you know that most dogs, especially Sporting, Herding and Working breeds, need at least 30-60 minutes of exercise daily? We understand not every owner is able to provide this amount of activity, especially during the work week, but that's where our Fitness Club comes in!

Our weekday Canine Fitness Club is a unique way to keep your dog fit and healthy. As a member of our club, your dog will be taken for an on-leash, structured exercise session which includes proper warm-ups/cool-downs, walking or running intervals (depending on which service your pup is enrolled in) and of course, water and treat breaks, then returned home happy, refreshed and ready to nap.
Your dog will be thrilled to get out and exercise and you will feel great knowing your dog is receiving a healthy amount of activity even while you are at work. Plus, we offer a variety of exercise options based on energy level and individual fitness needs, so there is a program for every pup, even the little guys! Remember, structured exercise is key to a well-balanced dog and what better way to tire out your pup than a canine workout with Pup 'N Pals?
For a full description of exercise offerings, please see our program list below. We are happy to work with you to help determine the best service option for your pup, but for the most complete canine workout plan, we highly recommend a weekly combination of both our walking and running programs.
But First... What Exactly is
Structured Exercise?
Dogs absolutely need and thrive on routine and structure, no questions about it. A structured exercise session therefore honors this instinctual need for direction by providing the dog with an opportunity to follow a calm, confident leader who communicates clear rules, boundaries and expectations. Essentially, a dog on a structured walk/run is expected to move on a loose lead in or slightly behind a heel position while maintaining a calm, follower state of mind. This means no pulling, leash tension, lunging, barking, sniffing, marking or otherwise excited, tuned out behavior. This is hard work for a dog and requires a tremendous amount of mental energy to maintain focus on their handler and not the world around them, but it is a crucial skill for all dogs to learn and the foundation to creating a well-balanced dog.
Structure also allows a dog to relax and teaches them to default to their leader for guidance rather than making misguided or impulsive decisions on their own. This eliminates many behavioral issues, confusion and anxiety that ultimately result from unclear leadership. Structured walks/runs are an invaluable training tool and an incredible way to burn both mental and physical energy, leaving you with a calm, enjoyable dog who can be trusted in many situations. We think all dogs deserve the opportunity to know structured exercise, and through our program, we will teach your dog a variety of skills that will help them to succeed not only with us, but also with you, the owner. Balanced, calm dogs are by far the happiest, most fulfilled dogs and it all starts with owners who respect and satisfy their dog's basic need for exercise.
